1. How does Pay in 4 work?
When you pay in 4, Klarna split your purchase into 4 equal payments. Klarna collect the first payment when you check out. The remaining 3 payments are collected every 2 weeks. You spread the cost over 6 weeks, with no interest or fees if you pay on time.
2. Are there limitations to when or how Pay in 4 plan can be offered?
Most orders from $35 to $1000 can be split into 4 interest-free payments with our Pay-in-4 product at checkout.
3. Am I eligible to Pay in 4 interest-free instalments?
To use Pay in 4 interest-free instalments you must be at least 18. Whilst this option is widely promoted, Paying in4 interest-free instalments is subject to your financial circumstances. When choosing Pay in 4 interest-free instalments, our assessment will not affect your credit rating.
4. How can I increase my chances of being accepted for Pay in 4 instalments?
Klarna is unique and offers Pay in 4 interest-free instalments based on a number of factors such as the order value, previous order history and item availability. If you are 18 or over, you can improve your chances of being offered Pay in 4 interest-free instalments by ensuring you provide your full name and accurate address details and shipping to your registered billing address. All orders are assessed individually. Just because you have been accepted for a Klarna payment method before does not mean it will be offered for every order and in turn, as it is denied does not mean it will be denied for all future orders.
5. Why have I not been offered Pay in 4 interest-free installments?
Although Pay later in 4 interest-free instalments is widely promoted it is not always universally available. The Pay in 4 interest-free installments payment option is automatically generated by algorithms that are dependent upon a number of factors including address details, cardholder details, amount of order, the online store, previous order history, and item availability.
6. Will this affect my credit score?
When you choose to Pay later in 30 days or in 4 interest-free installments, Klarna may perform a soft credit check. This type of credit check will not impact your credit score.
Monthly financing applications will take credit score and credit history into consideration when determining if the application is approved.
7. What happens if I make a return?
If you need to return part or all of your order, Klarna will issue you with a new statement. Simply follow the retailer's return instructions and make sure to take note of the tracking number. Log into your Klarna account, select “report a return”, and we’ll pause your statement. As soon as the retailer has processed your return, we will send an adjusted invoice.
8. There's something wrong with my order. Do I still need to pay for it?
You do not need to pay for goods that are received damaged, broken, or defective. Follow the retailer’s dispute instructions and “report a problem” in your Klarna account to pause your statement until the issue is resolved. As soon as the retailer has registered your return, the refund will be processed within 5-7 business days.
9. I have not received my order. What happens to my statement?
You do not need to pay the statement until you have received your order. Contact the retailer for a delivery update, log into your Klarna account, and “report a problem” to pause your statement until you’ve received your order.
10. My statement is incorrect. What should I do?
